THANK YOU to all who have donated & shared Beaujolais!
Baby Beaujolais is thriving in her TLP foster home! It is a little hard for her to maintain a normal balance, posture and coordination, lots of tremors going on. But we hope that her wheel-chair will teach her forward movements, hydro-therapy will help her strength and acupuncture to help her muscle to relax. Despite her condition, Beaujolais is a lovebug, and LOVES hanging out with her foster siblings and humans.

We have good news and some not so good news to report. The doc tells us she’s suffering from cerebellar hypoplasia - a congenital defect of the brain. This condition isn’t painful, but sadly, there is no cure. She wouldn’t have the coordination to save herself from trouble, and in fact, her symptoms are severe enough that she struggles to eat or drink without help from a human.
So what’s next? Beaujolais needs hydrotherapy, and a wheelchair, and a body harness. She’ll receive physical therapy and full body massages as often as she needs them!

Sweet Beaujolais is just 12 weeks old and she’s headed to our vet right away!
Our shelter partners warn us her symptoms could be caused by a congenital abnormality, a viral or protozoal infection, or a neurodegenerative disease. Her family surrendered her to the shelter for “health of pet.” She needs all the support we can muster!!!
