Update April 4th, 2021
It is with extremely heavy hearts we share the news that we made the decision to end Lady’s suffering this evening. Lady had a hard mass obstructing her intestines, abnormal kidneys, fluid around her heart, a heart murmur, and blood pressure dangerously high. While we hoped we were able to save her in time, it was obvious that this poor girl had been in terrible shape for some time and the best thing to do was to let her go peacefully. We are amazed by the support and thankful for the opportunity to save her thanks to all of you who shared her story today and donated towards her care. For those of you that donated, we want you know that we have chosen a private cremation for Lady and after the balance on her account is paid, the rest of the funds will go towards our Thrive program to help us save emergency medical cases just like Lady. Because of you she did not die alone on a shelter floor but instead knowing the love and support of her TLP family. We love you Lady and will continue to fight the good fight for you and all the amazing rescue dogs before you. Go Rescue Dogs, Go!

TLP transport is headed straight from the shelter to the Emergency room with Lady this Easter Morning. This girl’s body temperature is dangerously LOW. She is emaciated and unable to keep down any food or liquids.
At just 3 years old and only 39 pounds, Lady was surrendered for “health of animal.” Our shelter partners tell us Lady’s vomit has a red tint, a lot of mucus, and smells “very foul.” She is totally uninterested in food or water and they’ve noticed a “milky/bloody” discharge.
Stay tuned for minute by minute updates on Lady as soon as we have more information on her prognosis!
